Job summary

Hyatt Regency London Olympia is opening opportunities for a Commis Chef to join the team at a landmark hotel in London. You will develop cooking techniques under senior chefs, contribute to meal preparation, and maintain a safe, clean kitchen environment while rotating through different sections.

You will bring basic food preparation knowledge and a strong commitment to food safety and hygiene standards. The role offers opportunities to grow within Hyatt Hotels worldwide and access staff

• Develop and apply a variety of cooking techniques under the guidance of senior chefs.
• Contribute to meal preparation and service by completing tasks accurately, efficiently, and on time.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment, ensuring tools and equipment are sanitised and ready for use.
• Assist with receiving, checking, and storing ingredients and supplies, following correct stock rotation practices.
• Gain practical experience across different kitchen sections to build a strong foundation in culinary operations.
• Continue developing your skills and culinary knowledge while supporting the success of the kitchen team.

Duties And Responsibilities Related To The Commis Chef Role

About You

You will have some previous experience in culinary operations, with the willingness to keep developing your skills and supporting the wider kitchen team. You bring a basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and a strong commitment to following food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
