Job summary

The University of Edinburgh is looking for a Commis chef to join the Conference & Events Catering Department, based at Pollock Hills in the South Hall Kitchen.

We cater for small meetings, private dinners and large conferences, and we operate an extensive Outside and Delivered Hospitality service across the city, supporting student accommodation, cafés and university venues with high-quality catering.

The Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for a Commis chef to join the University of Edinburgh’s Conference & Events Catering Department, based at Pollock Hills in the South Hall Kitchen.

We cater for everything from small meetings and private dinners to large, high-profile conferences. We also run an extensive Outside and Delivered Hospitality service, supplying food to over 180 University buildings as well as private and corporate venues across the city.

About The Team

Accommodation, Catering and Events provides catered and self-catered residential accommodation for over 10,000 students, including community and welfare support through its Residence Life service. We also operate 17 cafes and a range of other catering products to students and staff across the University estate. Under its commercial brand, The University of Edinburgh Hospitality and Events Collection, we deliver hotel accommodation options to around 200,000 guests each year plus an extensive selection of conference, catering and event services to over 2,000 events.
