Company Description
Situated next to Snowdonia National Park, Palé Hall is a destination for luxury and culinary excellence. This historic Victorian mansion features 22 bedrooms with plans for significant investment and growth over the coming year, to turn this property into a world-class country house hotel.
Palé Hall offers a great opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. With exciting plans for growth and investment, especially in our dining options, this is an excellent chance for someone eager to learn and gain experience in a Three AA Rosette kitchen aiming for a Michelin Star.
You’ll have a keen interest in advancing your knowledge of fine dining, with the drive and passion to progress. Under the guidance of senior chefs, you’ll ensure that seasonal, high-quality food is produced efficiently and consistently. We seek a forward-thinking, creative team player who will contribute to menu planning and development, and who is aware of health, safety, and statutory compliance.
Even if you are not currently working as a chef, we are interested in candidates passionate about making cooking their career and willing to take the first steps. We are committed to training and developing the right individuals who demonstrate commitment, capacity to learn, and a strong work ethic.
As one of Wales’ AA Five Red Star hotels, with AA Three Rosettes and the Michelin Green Star for food sustainability, Pale Hall currently offers two dining experiences: The Henry Robertson fine dining room with tranquil views, serving four and seven-course tasting menus, and the rustic Huntsman Bistro with a traditional à la carte menu. Our menus are created from locally sourced, sustainable produce, changing with the seasons.
This is a full-time, permanent position, five days a week.
In return, we offer a competitive salary, a share of monthly gratuities, generous staff discounts, free meals on duty, on-site parking, and the opportunity to work in a stunning location with a supportive team.
Palé Hall provides a rewarding working environment in a beautiful rural setting, where everyone is encouraged to reach their full potential within a friendly team. Please ensure you can commute within the shift patterns of the role you apply for.
Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK.
