We are recruiting a Commercial Vehicle Technician for our client's depot in Lincoln on a Permanent basis. The company has a very large and successful contract and can offer a competitive pay structure so if you are looking out for a new role, this is likely to be of interest.

The role will involve working on Small to Medium-sized Commercial vehicle repairs.

A formal Apprenticeship/NVQ Qualification in the Vehicle Repair industry would be ideal, as well as an IRTEC specialism qualification to work on the Commercial vehicles.

The candidate would be carrying out scheduled maintenance on the company fleet, working within company guidelines and will also be covering breakdowns or faults.

Standard depot-based working hours will be Monday to Friday 7:00am-4:00pm.
Between October – April every year, the company operates a standby rota whereby one in around three weeks, the employee will be available on a standby basis for vehicle breakdown callouts during evenings and weekends. This is particularly important during periods of inclement weather.

The pay structure is as follows…
Basic pay of £13.00-£15.00 per hour depending on experience
£240.00 additional pay for a full week where the employee is on standby (on call)
Actual hours worked on callouts attended to… Time and a Half Monday to Saturday, Double Time on Sundays.
