Are you a skilled Commercial Underwriter looking for your next challenge in Property & Casualty (P&C)? We’re partnering with a leading global insurer to find an experienced P&C underwriter to join their high-performing team, with flexibility to be based in either Southampton or Birmingham.

About the Role:

As a Commercial Underwriter, you’ll play a key role in underwriting new and existing commercial risks, managing broker relationships, and helping to drive profitable growth across the P&C portfolio. You'll be supported by an experienced leadership team and given access to technical training and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite and manage a diverse portfolio of Property & Casualty commercial risks.
• Maintain and develop strong relationships with brokers, delivering high-quality service.
• Apply sound judgement and risk assessment within delegated authority limits.
• Contribute to team targets and support wider business objectives.
• Keep up to date with market developments, regulatory changes, and underwriting best practices.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in commercial underwriting, ideally with P&C exposure.
• Strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage broker accounts.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A team player with a proactive attitude.
