The role is based within the renewals department, dealing with a wide variety of fascinating risks including, but not limited to, Professional Management Risks, Social Welfare, Care, Not For Profit, and Charity policies. Underwriters within this team report that the cases are extremely interesting, and no day is the same.
Specific duties will include, but are not limited to:
It is not essential to have previous experience within the above product lines as full training will be provided. However, you must have some underwriting experience encompassing Property / Liability / Commercial Combined OR Financial Lines insurance. It may be that you are currently an Insurance Broker who has underwritten via delegated authority schemes. It’s essential that you are well-organised and efficient, and as you’ll regularly be dealing with brokers, you’ll be engaging and professional.
