The Job Role:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Technical Manager to drive the commercial success of their agricultural products and services. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical expertise and business strategy, ensuring that solutions meet market needs and deliver exceptional value to customers. This role requires a strong understanding of agronomy, crop science, and agricultural technologies, combined with commercial acumen and business development skills.

Location:
Southeast England

Salary Package:
Between £70,000 - £80,000 Basic Salary + performance-based incentives and excellent benefits package

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement commercial strategies to enhance market presence and increase revenue.
  2. Provide technical expertise and product support to customers, sales teams, and distributors.
  3. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including farmers, agronomists, and industry partners.
  5. Deliver training and technical presentations to internal teams and external clients.
  6. Collaborate with R&D and product development teams to ensure products align with customer needs.
  7. Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in agricultural technology.
  8. Support sales teams with technical guidance and develop marketing strategies for product promotion.
  9. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Candidate Skills and Experience:

  1. Degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Crop Science, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in a technical or commercial role within the agriculture industry.
  3. Strong knowledge of crop production, agronomy, and agricultural inputs (e.g., seeds, fertilisers, crop protection).
  4. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  5. Commercial awareness with the ability to identify business opportunities and drive growth.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Willingness to travel as required.
