At Fresenius Kabi Biosimilars, we want to make a difference. With our principle “we care for excellence,” we relentlessly strive to provide easier access to high-quality, affordable medicines to more patients around the world.

Our expanding and highly attractive product pipeline of biosimilars and innovative biopharmaceuticals includes a range of commercialized medicines and molecules in various development stages. With a growing portfolio targeting areas of immunology, oncology, haematology, and osteoporosis, we aim to provide access to biologics for more patients and healthcare providers around the world.

We work together in a spirit of teamwork, personal commitment, and integrity to create value. We combine an entrepreneurial leadership approach with a lean hierarchy, diversity, and talented individuals.

The Role

This newly created role reports to the VP of Commercial Operations for Biosimilars, based in Switzerland. It is a remote position with some planned travel across Europe. Due to the long lead times for biologics production and the rapid growth of biosimilars, it is essential to pre-determine demand across all EU countries and manage production allocations accordingly.

We require an experienced pharmaceutical distribution manager with strong commercial and analytical skills, knowledgeable in projecting in-market demand across EU countries. The role may also suit an experienced sales leader with knowledge of European and wholesale supply chains.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Be the company expert in quantifying and managing in-market demand across all EU countries.
  2. Manage internal and external data sources to ensure efficient and continuous supply of pharmaceutical products across EU markets.
  3. Maintain and improve demand optimization tools for all EU countries.
  4. Manage all third-party data sources (e.g., health insurance fund data, reimbursement data, IQVIA data), bespoke to EU countries.
  5. Liaise with country commercial leads to confirm market demand and maintain insights on market share by distribution channels and customers.
  6. Analyze, prepare, and present strategic reports and recommendations for stock allocation across the EU.
  7. Monitor and evaluate performance indicators, taking corrective actions as needed.
  8. Support distributor partnerships within the EU.
  9. Continuously develop programs to meet changing business needs and ensure excellent customer and patient supply.
  10. Provide training and guidance on distribution trade practices and procedures.
  11. Collaborate with legal, compliance, and financial teams to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to internal SOPs.
  12. Control costs to meet plans as agreed with the VP.

Qualification Profile:

  1. University degree or MBA in science or business.
  2. Experience in commercial distribution and demand management.
  3. Proven track record managing pharmaceutical supply across EU markets.
  4. Strong understanding of the EU pharmaceutical market and supply chains.
  5. Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  6. Proficient data analysis skills.
  7. Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple countries simultaneously.
  8. High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  9. Biosimilar experience or knowledge is a plus.
  10. Leadership skills, including cross-functional and cross-geographical leadership.
  11. Goal-oriented mindset with clear metrics and process mapping.
  12. Innovative approach to internal and external challenges.
  13. Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
