The Commercial Subsidiary Group (CSG) Relationship Manager is a strategic professional who stays informed about developments in their field and contributes to directional strategy through applicable actions in their role and the business. This role requires recognized technical authority and commercial awareness. Multiple colleagues may provide similar subject matter expertise. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are needed to guide, influence and collaborate with others, including external customers. The impact of work is significant and may affect the broader sub-function or job family.

Responsibilities
  • Calls on clients to deepen relationships and proactively owns, responds to, uncovers and anticipates future needs, roadblocks or risks and expectations
  • Introduces solutions to clients to build and strengthen the portfolio
  • Collaborates with product specialists and subject matter experts to structure innovative and customized solutions that meet client needs
  • Works with Case Manager on onboarding and retention, ensuring appropriate KYC and other compliance deliverables
  • Identifies cross-sell opportunities to deepen share of wallet
  • Enhances client experience by sharing market updates, trends and intelligence
  • Drives innovation in client solutions and supports business development as appropriate
  • Executes strategic initiatives launched centrally at all levels
  • Networks with clients to identify new business opportunities
  • Manages the credit relationship, coordinating and supervising processes in line with policies and institutional controls
  • Ensures regulatory and Citi policy compliance at all times
  • Assesses risk in business decisions, upholding the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets; escalates and reports control issues with transparency
Qualifications
  • Sound knowledge of banking and investment products and the ability to provide sound banking and financial advice
  • Demonstrates credit skills to structure complex deals, including capital market transactions
  • Advanced Early Warning Detection skills
  • Advanced credit skills; able to structure various credit deals
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Ability to coordinate multi-functional teams to deliver an exceptional client experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills (negotiation, consultative skills, leadership)
  • Ability to work under pressure while making sound decisions
  • Highly focused with the ability to identify priorities and communicate them clearly
  • Proactive in strengthening client relationships and delivering a simple, secure, seamless client experience
  • Passion for creating new business opportunities with existing clients and innovative approaches to meeting client needs
  • Ability to embrace new technology and understand the role of digital in the client experience
