Working Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
Salary: Starting Salary is £44,711 (Level one) rising to £47,754 per annum (pro-rata for part-time)

About the Role
The Commercial Strategy and Policy Lead heads a small team that shapes policy, ensures compliance, and provides assistance to all Council service areas in support of commercial and procurement activities. The job holder will, with the team, provide a view of current and upcoming regulatory changes, develop appropriate tools and training for both operational and strategic procurement/contract management as well as providing advice to NCC on appropriate mitigation of risk and policy and governance best practice. Working collaboratively with the Commercial Hub and Service Areas, the job holder will work to create a culture of continuous improvement.
Supporting the Commercial Systems and Strategy Manager, the job holder will ensure the team actively and effectively promotes the Council's vision, values, aims, objectives, and priorities, putting our citizens first through the delivery of best value services.
