TITLE: Commercial Solicitor (Public Sector Clients)

THE ROLE:
This leading UK law firm is seeking a commercial lawyer to join its market leading Public Sector team to handle a broad range of non-contentious commercial work. The role involves providing strategic advice on high-profile projects and supporting a range of public sector matters. Key responsibilities include drafting and negotiating contracts, frameworks, and collaboration agreements between public bodies. Depending on experience, you may also advise on procurement, local authority powers, and other public law issues.
Additionally, you may be required to oversee the training of junior lawyers and offer technical support to the wider team. This position provides a valuable opportunity to grow your own practice and contribute to the firm’s ongoing development.

THE CANDIDATE:
Applications are welcome from qualified solicitors with 2+ years’ PQE with strong technical expertise and a proven track record in handling commercial contracts and managing a varied caseload. The successful candidate will demonstrate commercial awareness, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to deliver clear, practical advice under pressure. Knowledge of procurement law and public law matters is also highly advantageous.
