We are currently working with a well regarded, Legal 500 ranked firm in Reading that is looking for a talented Commercial Solicitor to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and experienced Commercial law professional to join an expanding and supportive team.

Your responsibilities will include:

Advise on a wide range of commercial agreements, including supply, service, and licensing contractsHandle intellectual property matters such as brand protection, IP ownership, and licensingProvide guidance on data protection, privacy policies, and regulatory complianceWork independently on most matters, with support available for complex or unfamiliar issuesCollaborate with colleagues in the Business Services Team on marketing and client developmentEngage in knowledge sharing and mentor junior team members when neededBuild tailored advice to suit clients across sectors including tech, automotive, and start-upsAdapt communication and solutions to suit each client's size, structure, and goalsDeliver practical, business-minded advice rather than purely legal theoryBalance legal risk with commercial realities to find workable solutionsGet involved in growing the firm's profile through business development activitiesParticipate in webinars, events, and content creation (e., articles or LinkedIn posts)Build strong client and professional networks through regular contact and relationship managementActively contribute to team growth and help shape future opportunities, including potential for partnership

The successful candidate:

Minimum of 4 years' PQE (or equivalent high-quality experience) in commercial lawStrong background in advising on commercial contracts, intellectual property, and data protectionAble to manage matters autonomously while collaborating effectively within a teamExperience working with clients across diverse sectors, especially technology and automotiveSkilled at adapting communication and advice for businesses of all sizesCommercially minded with a focus on practical, real-world solutionsExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong client relationshipsInterest in mentoring junior team members and contributing to team developmentEnthusiasm for business development, including networking, client engagement, and thought leadershipAmbitious and self-motivated, with a desire to progress toward partnership in the near future
