Job summary

Our Client, a multinational organisation, is looking for a Commercial Solicitor to join their in-house legal team. You will handle a varied workload, including commercial contracts, negotiation, bids and tenders, and general advisory work across multiple business units.

You will work closely with business stakeholders across the UK, benefiting from mentoring and a strong culture of professional growth in a hybrid model with 3–4 days in the Chester area office.

Qualifications

• Around 3 years' PQE in commercial law.
• Experience across general commercial, commercial litigation and/or related contract work.
• In-house or private practice exposure with business-facing stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review commercial contracts for a multinational organisation.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers and customers to secure favourable terms.
• Support bids, tenders, and corporate projects with practical, risk-aware advice.
• Manage disputes and provide proactive commercial governance across departments.
• Assist with company secretarial matters and property-related issues as part of a broad advisory remit.

Role - Commercial Solicitor:

The in-house lawyers are involved in a wide variety of work, including commercial contract drafting, review and negotiation, bids and tenders, dispute management, corporate projects, company secretarial matters, property-related issues and general commercial advisory work.

The Commercial Solicitor reports into an approachable and well-regarded Head of Legal who is committed to developing junior lawyers, and there is a genuine emphasis on mentoring, learning and professional growth.

About you:

This is a superb opportunity for a c. 3 years' PQE commercial solicitor to join a large multinational company in a varied in-house legal role. You will be hands-on working with buisness stakeholders across the UK, and you will gain great exposire and legal experience.
