Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the commercial sector. This role requires a deep understanding of solar energy solutions, strong communication skills, and the ability to build long-term relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect and acquire new commercial customers interested in solar energy solutions.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' energy needs and develop tailored solar proposals.
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, design, and finance teams to ensure seamless project execution from sale through to installation.
- Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profitability.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline and accurately forecast business growth.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and market developments.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our solar solutions.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process and beyond.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (preferred), or equivalent job experience
- Proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably within the solar energy industry.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Hubspot) and other sales productivity tools.
- Passion for renewable energy and a commitment to sustainability.
Compensation:
- $28.85/hour ($60k annually) + commission
