Manage and support the commercial aspects of contracts, ensuring effective negotiation, execution, and compliance. This role involves reviewing terms and conditions, mitigating risks, and aligning contracts with organizational objectives. The position serves as a key advisor to management, providing insights into contractual feasibility, financial implications, and strategic business opportunities. By collaborating with legal, procurement, and operational teams, the role ensures contracts are structured to optimize value, reduce exposure to risk, and support long-term business growth. Additionally, the role involves maintaining a comprehensive understanding of industry regulations, market trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvements in contract management and commercial strategy.
Business Case Development - Develop business cases, including those for large-scale, complex, or contentious projects, and make evidence-based recommendations to inform decision-making about development opportunities.
Requirements Management - Coordinate the identification and elicitation of requirements; conduct analysis of those requirements for completion and alignment; document and manage requirements throughout the life of the project.
Leadership and Direction - Communicate the local action plan; explain how this relates to the function's strategy and action plan and to the broader organization's mission and vision.
Performance Management - Develop and propose own performance objectives; take appropriate actions to ensure achievement of agreed objectives.
Bid Solicitation/Request for Proposal/Tender Analysis - Conduct feasibility studies from technological, financial, and organizational perspectives on aspects of bid solicitation.
Data Exploration - Conduct research and select relevant information to enable analysis of key themes and trends using primary data sources and business intelligence tools.
Contract Advice - Provide specialist professional advice relating to terms, regulations and best practice with regard to complex project proposals and contracts.
