40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm (Flexibility required depending on business needs)

Purpose of the Role

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Commercial Cleaning Services Manager to oversee operations across multiple commercial sites in the Southwest region. This high-impact role requires strong leadership, operational oversight, and client relationship management. The successful candidate will ensure service excellence, support growth initiatives, and lead a team of site-based Team Leaders and Cleaning Operatives to maintain quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
  • Oversee daily cleaning operations across multiple sites, ensuring contractual and service level agreements are met.
  • Manage and support a team of on-site Team Leaders, providing guidance, performance management, and development support.
  • Conduct site visits, audits, and performance reviews to monitor service delivery and quality standards.
Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a senior point of contact for escalations, service reviews, and strategic planning.
  • Lead client meetings, site inspections, and ensure proactive communication on service performance and improvements.
Business Development
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for account growth, service expansion, and new business within the region.
  • Collaborate with sales and bid teams on tenders, pricing, and site transitions.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Implement KPIs, prepare reports, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Resource & Financial Management
  • Manage staffing, recruitment, and resource allocation across sites.
  • Control budgets related to labor, supplies, and equipment, seeking cost efficiencies without compromising quality.
Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience in operational or regional management within commercial cleaning, facilities management, retail, or hospitality sectors.
  • Experience managing multiple sites and leading dispersed teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Commercial acumen with experience in account growth or business development.
  • Understanding of cleaning standards, equipment, health & safety, and quality reporting.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel across the Southwest.
