Your role

We are hiring a Configuration Analyst with a background in Commercial Risk to support the setup, maintenance, and optimization of our risk management systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with risk-related platforms and configuration tools, ensuring accurate data flow and system integrity across risk processes.

In this role, you will play a key role in:
  1. Providing expert advice on Risk practices and principles, staying updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
  2. Leading in the design and development of Retail Risk policies and strategies to support revenue growth, operational efficiency, cost reduction, and strategic risk infrastructure across the customer lifecycle.
  3. Supporting the Group’s strategic customer objectives by maintaining stability of Australia Risk Infrastructure platforms and services.
  4. Delivering simplified, scalable data and technology infrastructure to improve customers’ financial wellbeing, including compliance with Responsible Lending and Privacy standards.
  5. Enabling efficient production of quality requirements, balancing business needs with technology strategies.
  6. Supporting team leaders in developing team capabilities to deliver current and future strategic initiatives.
  7. Providing technical advice, training, and mentoring to team members.
  8. Contributing to the Non-Financial Risk framework.
  9. Managing risks and controls, ensuring accurate and actionable COR events.
  10. Supporting audits and regulatory engagements with relevant insights and updates.
  11. Ensuring risk infrastructure solutions comply with security policies and regulatory requirements.
  12. Identifying trends, risks, issues, and opportunities, escalating as needed.
Your profile
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to deliver business and technology solutions.
  • Experience with data analytics/science and decision systems tools (e.g., SAS, SQL, R, Python, Power Curve, Ab Initio).
  • Solid risk management and/or technology experience, especially in credit and data lifecycle management.
  • Effective communicator with well-developed written and oral skills, capable of engaging stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Ability to implement business rule and strategy changes.
  • Experience in business analysis and technical configuration related to Credit Risk management.
