My client, an independent, multidisciplinary property firm based in London, is looking for a chartered valuer to join their growing team. They offer a comprehensive range of services across the commercial and residential sectors, including valuation, agency, asset management, and property management.

They have built long-standing relationships with private clients, institutions, banks, developers, and public sector bodies, supported by deep market knowledge and a strong presence in London. Their commitment is to deliver insightful, client-focused advice with integrity and professional excellence.

Role Overview

Due to the continued expansion of their markets, my client is seeking a Chartered Surveyor to join their Valuation & Advisory team in their City office. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive, commercially minded individual to develop their career within a dynamic and client-facing environment.

The team undertakes valuations across Greater London and the Home Counties, with a focus on northeast London, for purposes such as loan security, financial reporting, acquisition, disposal, tax planning, and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake RICS Red Book valuations of commercial and residential properties (including retail, offices, industrial, residential, and development sites) for a range of purposes in a wide geographical area.
• Conduct inspections, take measurements, and carry out market research to support accurate and thorough valuation reporting.
• Liaise with clients, legal advisers, and other stakeholders throughout the valuation process.
• Manage a diverse caseload, delivering high-quality work to agreed deadlines.
• Assist in business development, client retention, and fee generation initiatives.
• Attend client meetings, presentations, and industry events as required.
• Collaborate across service lines and support junior surveyors where appropriate.

Person Specification

• MRICS & RICS Registered Valuer
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience drafting both formal and informal reports
• Excellent analytical skills, numeracy, and attention to detail
• Valuation experience across multiple property types, including retail, office, industrial, and residential, as well as residential development land for loan security and other purposes
• Familiarity with lenders and lender panels for loan security work
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience using valuation software such as Argus Developer, Argus Enterprise, Valos, and/or KEL
• Ability to prioritise, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines efficiently
