Job summary

Streamline Search Ltd in Glasgow is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage cost estimation, cost control and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle. You will help maximise commercial performance and support project profitability across partitioning, ceilings, fit‑outs and joinery.

Qualifications

• Minimum HND in Quantity Surveying or a relevant qualification.
• At least 2 years' experience with a main contractor or subcontractor.
• Strong knowledge of cost control, estimating and commercial management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates, budgets and forecasts for construction projects.
• Monitor project expenditure and implement cost control measures.
• Review tender submissions and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure terms.
• Carry out site visits to assess progress and verify quantities against specifications.
• Maintain accurate financial records and project cost documentation.
• Work with Project Managers, clients and consultants to support commercial decision-making.
• Produce regular cost reports, forecasts and variance analysis for management.
• Identify potential commercial risks and implement strategies to minimise financial exposure.
• Support financial management of projects from initial pricing through to final accounts.
