Job summary

M O'Brien Group is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial management across multiple projects nationally. You will work closely with customers, project teams and key stakeholders to support delivery, ensure contractual compliance, and achieve business objectives.

The role requires managing project costs, coordinating with supply chain partners, and delivering accurate commercial information to support informed decisions. Civil/construction experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Commercial Management or equivalent.
• Experience in a Quantity Surveying/commercial management role on projects.
• Understanding of cost control, forecasting, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Take accountability for financial and contractual performance of allocated projects.
• Monitor costs, cash flow, and forecast outturn against budgets.
• Prepare monthly commercial reports and commentaries.
• Manage change control, variations, and claims in line with contracts.
• Collaborate with supply chain partners and customers to resolve issues.
• Administer subcontract agreements and payments within timescales.
• Provide commercial advice to project teams and stakeholders.
