Overview:
First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a Commercial Quality Control Inspector to join their team. The client specializes in property maintenance, installation, and servicing of gas central heating and hot water systems for private, commercial landlords, and industrial property owners.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform quality checks on works carried out by all operatives (company, agency, and subcontractors) for gas installation, maintenance, and non-gas works (post-inspection).
- Visit and inspect works in progress as directed.
- Verify completed works for safe operation and compliance with Gas Safe requirements and current safety regulations, especially Regulation 26/9 of the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations.
- Assess the quality of work and time spent on-site as requested.
- Report on tasks performed and parts fitted upon request.
- Identify and advise on safety or quality faults and recommend actions.
- Provide feedback on customer satisfaction when required.
- Conduct surveys in accordance with QHSE/Quality Manager approval.
- Coordinate with clients and agents as necessary.
- Investigate and prepare reports on claims and complaints.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
Essential:
- ACS qualifications – minimum of CCN1, CEN1, WAT1, (CENWAT), CKR1 & CPA1.
- Certificate of Asbestos Awareness Training.
- Experience working in a multi-sited company.
- Experience in high-volume, high-pressure environments.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Experience diagnosing faults on domestic gas central heating systems.
- Full driving license.
Desirable:
- HTR1 qualification.
- Knowledge of Energy Efficiency.
- DAH1, Unvented Hot Water, WRAS (Water Supply Regulations 1999).
