Commercial Underwriter – SME & Mid-Market

(Hybrid – 3 days in office)
Salary: Up to £55,000 + benefits

We’re working with a growing MGA in London seeking an experienced Commercial Underwriter to join their London office. This role focuses on existing business across SME and small mid-market risks, including Property, Liability, Package, and Combined products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite renewals and mid-term adjustments within authority
• Manage and retain a portfolio of SME/mid-market commercial business
• Maintain strong broker relationships and negotiate terms
• Ensure compliance with underwriting standards and processes

Requirements:

• Solid underwriting experience, ideally in SME/mid-market existing business
• Good knowledge of commercial products
• Strong broker-facing and communication skills
• CII qualifications (or working towards) preferred
