Overview

Job Title: Commercial Property Solicitor
Location: Gillingham
Salary: Competitive, DOE

A well-established and highly regarded law firm is looking to recruit a Commercial Property Solicitor to join their busy Commercial Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with at least 2 years' PQE to work on a wide range of commercial property matters for small and medium-sized businesses, while developing your career in a supportive and professional team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Buying and selling freehold and leasehold business premises
  • Advising landlords and tenants on new leases and lease renewals (including Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 matters)
  • Drafting and managing lease documentation such as licences to assign, sublet, and alter
  • Acting on acquisitions and sales of commercial investment properties
  • Advising on commercial property finance and auction transactions
  • Managing own caseload and supervising junior colleagues where appropriate
  • Ensuring compliance with firm procedures, risk management, and file management protocols
  • Working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Candidate Profile
  • Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years' PQE in commercial property law
  • Some experience in residential conveyancing desirable
  • Ability to manage own caseload effectively
  • Strong IT skills and competent in case management systems
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • Commercially aware, proactive, and a team player
