Job summary

Clayton Legal is seeking a Commercial Property Paralegal in Worthing on a hybrid basis. The role sits within a locally respected, Legal 500-ranked Commercial Property team, offering opportunities to develop your career within a supportive firm.

You will support a varied caseload, prepare documentation, and liaise with clients and bodies while maintaining meticulous files and delivering a high standard of client care.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Commercial Property team is essential.
• Experience working within a solicitors' office is preferred.
• Ability to assist with or manage a caseload.
• Self-motivated with initiative and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent IT skills and familiarity with legal systems.
• Strong communication and client-care skills.

   The Role

   The successful candidate will provide support across a varied Commercial Property caseload, working closely with Fee Earners, clients and external parties.

   You will be responsible for:

   • Supporting the Commercial Property team with a varied caseload

   • Assisting with the progression and administration of property matters

   • Preparing correspondence and legal documentation

   • Taking and actioning detailed instructions accurately

   • Communicating with clients, official bodies and owner-managed businesses

   • Reviewing information from people and documents quickly and accurately

   • Maintaining accurate and well-organised files

   • Ensuring matters are progressed efficiently and in accordance with relevant procedures

   • Providing a high standard of client care and service

   • Working both independently and as part of a supportive team

   About You

   We are looking for someone who:

   • Has previous experience working within a Commercial Property team

   • Has experience working within a solicitors' office

   • Has experience assisting with or managing a caseload

   • Is self-motivated and able to use their own initiative

   • Has excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills

   • Can absorb information quickly and accurately

   • Has excellent IT skills and is comfortable using legal systems

   • Is confident and professional when dealing with clients, official bodies and businesses

   • Has excellent communication and client-care skills

   • Can work efficiently and accurately under pressure

   • Has a good understanding of Commercial Property law, rules and regulations

   • Has an understanding of the SRA Accounts Rules, SRA Handbook and Outcome Focused Regulations
