Job summary

Workshop Recruitment is recruiting for a Commercial Property Legal Assistant in Southampton. You will join a busy Property team, providing essential day-to-day legal and administrative support to Fee Earners on a varied commercial property caseload.

The role focuses on supporting with a range of property matters, liaising with clients and third parties, and handling file openings, drafting, and ID checks in an in-office setting.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years plus legal secretarial or legal assistant experience within Property.
• Experience supporting commercial property matters.
• Strong legal administration and secretarial skills.
• Experience with audio typing and digital dictation systems.
• Previous experience using a Case Management system.

Responsibilities

• Supporting Fee Earners with a varied commercial property caseload.
• Liaising with clients and third parties, including estate agents, landlords and other solicitors.
• Opening new files and matters on the firm's Case Management system.
• Drafting correspondence, documents and precedents on behalf of Fee Earners.
• Completing ID checks for clients.
• Providing general administrative and legal support to the Property team as required.
