We have an excellent opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join the Conveyancing Department within a reputable law firm.

This is a full-time, permanent role based in the Chesham area.

The Role:

As a Commercial Property Legal Assistant, you will provide legal assistance and administrative support to Commercial Property Fee Earners and other fee earners as required.

Your responsibilities include answering phones, dealing with clients, managing compliance matters using LEAP software, producing completion statements, drawing up bills, scheduling appointments, and client liaison.

You will handle post-completion matters, liaise with Land Registry, and perform general paralegal and administrative tasks related to case management, including:

  • Word processing
  • Email correspondence
  • Filing and document management
  • Photocopying, faxing
  • Linking incoming post to case files
  • Ensuring outgoing post/DX dispatch
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year experience in a Commercial Property team
  • Audio typing at 60+ words per minute
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent English grammar and spelling
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, including telephone manner
  • Effective time management and prioritization
  • Knowledge of commercial property processes and terminology
  • Friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic attitude
