Commercial Property Client Accountant – 9MTH Contract -London

OUR CLIENT is an established firm of Chartered Surveyors who have been serving the commercial property markets for decades. They are now looking for a Client Accountant to join their prestigious property accounting team.

THE ROLE Responsibilities for the Client Accountant will include:

  • Preparing year-end service charge files for the auditors.
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly client statements.
  • Raising rent and service charge invoices.
  • Assisting with the service charge budgets which includes drafting them, getting them signed off, uploading them and sending them out.
  • Chasing rent and service charge arrears; chasing via telephone and sending out letters.
  • Updating rent schedules and instructing solicitors when needed.
  • Attending client meetings on a quarterly basis.

THE PERSON requirements for the Client Accountant role are:

  • Have at least a year’s experience working as an Accounts Assistant / Client Accountant in a property management company.
  • Experience of a property management system will be highly advantageous.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, be client facing.
  • Strong team ethic.
  • Be available to start within a month.
