Job summary

Chadwick Nott represents a UK Top 100 law firm in Oxford seeking an experienced Commercial (Projects) Solicitor (5+ PQE) to handle high-value work for public and private sector clients.

You will advise on PFI operational matters, renewables projects such as heat networks and solar, and structure, draft, and negotiate complex commercial contracts. You will also mentor junior lawyers and collaborate with leading partners and clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ PQE or equivalent experience as a solicitor.
• Strong commercial and projects experience.
• Experience advising on PFI, renewables, and energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Advise on PFI operational matters, expiries and variations, and support PPPs and PFI successors.
• Structure, draft, and negotiate high-value commercial contracts with detailed financial/technical schedules.
• Mentor and supervise junior lawyers and contribute to client training initiatives.

My client, a UK Top 100 law firm, is renowned for its strength in commercial, projects, and corporate law. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced solicitor (5+ PQE) to join a leading team delivering complex, high-value work for both public and private sector clients.

You will advise on PFI operational matters, including expiry and variation, and support clients on future public-private partnerships and PFI successor models. The role also involves advising on renewables and low-carbon projects, such as heat networks, solar, and decentralised energy schemes. You will structure, draft, and negotiate high-value commercial contracts, including detailed financial and technical schedules. This work is at the leading-edge of what is available in the regions, providing a hard-to-miss role for those with strong commercial experience.

As a senior member of the team, you will mentor and supervise junior lawyers while contributing to client training initiatives. Collaborating with market-leading partners, you’ll handle strategically significant projects with Government departments and major corporations.
