Job description

We are looking for a Commercial Project Manager to join a leading interior design fit-out business.

Specialising in working with high-profile clients in the private practice medical sector, our client manages build projects from start to finish, providing workspace strategy, design and build services.

You will be responsible for attending client site visits; working alongside architectural designers and developing project schedules, whilst managing subcontractors and key stakeholders. You will need experience in delivering fit-out projects to budget and strict deadlines.

This role is paying up to GBP60,000 plus company car and great benefits, the role is based from home, with regular travel required to conduct site visits. A fantastic opportunity to be joining a growing business and be involved in some really exciting build projects

It is essential you hold SMSTS, CSCS Professional card (white) or Engineering Services Skill Card (black) with a full UK driving licence.

As Commercial Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Involvement from conception through to handover of projects.
  • Developing project schedules and managing project finances.
  • Reading and interpreting drawings and project specifications.
  • Handling subcontractor and supplier negotiations.
  • Liaising with client s and stakeholders, ensuring needs and expectations are met.
  • Regularly reviewing the progress of projects and creating reports.
  • Ensuring all projects are delivered safely, within budget and on time.
  • Overseeing snagging inspections and handover.

We d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in managing commercial fit out projects.
  • Proficiency in project management software, Gantt charts and Excel.
  • Experience in CAD/3D drawing and an understanding of the technical details.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and relationship building.
  • Detailed knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental practices, Construction Design Management regulations, and sustainable construction methods.
  • SMSTS and CSCS Professional Card (White) or Engineering Services Skill Card (Black)

The Role:

As Commercial Project Manager, you will work across a diverse range of sectors, providing a personal approach to each fit out project. Overseeing projects from very early stage conception work through to handover, you will champion safety, cost efficiency and delivery of projects within agreed SLA s. Working with SME s through to large national companies, you will work closely with the Designer to interpret drawings and specifications, negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers and produce cost effective project schedules to deliver on client briefs.
