The Role:

Based at our Centre of Excellence in Hemel Hempstead, with a hybrid work model (minimum 2 days in the office).

As Commercial & Programmes Controller, you will manage sales forecasting (Order Intake, Revenue & Margin) and programme accounting for NW Europe (UK, Ireland, Israel). This includes maintaining forecasts aligned with commercial data and ensuring accurate revenue recognition per IFRS15.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the monthly Market Review forecast for Order Intake and Revenue for the NW Europe market (18 months outlook).
  • Update forecasts based on developments in Programmes, Sales & Operations.
  • Flag significant issues to management, explaining forecast movements and variances.
  • Manage IFRS15 issues related to Programmes, ensuring accurate accounting and forecasting.
  • Review programme balances monthly, raising accruals or adjustments as needed.
  • Prepare weekly KPIs and monthly reports for senior management and HQ.
  • Support variance explanations for internal and external audits.
  • Assist in financial modeling for bids and tenders, reviewing pricing accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies, recommending improvements.
  • Lead revenue and order intake forecasting for the annual budget and strategic plan.
  • Use LEAN tools to improve forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Monitor SAP data accuracy, coordinating with sales and operations for timely invoicing.
  • Manage a team delivering these functions.
About You:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of IFRS standards, especially IFRS15, and revenue recognition issues.
  • Experience in sales forecasting and analysis for decision-making.
  • Commercially savvy, experienced in international, matrix environments.
  • Effective communicator with senior leadership.
  • Proficient in MS Office, SAP, and Oracle EPBCS.
  • Deep knowledge of SAP programme accounting structures.
  • Foreign language skills (especially Hebrew) are advantageous.
