Are you an Essex-based commercial professional looking to join a growing business?

Octavius is seeking skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyors (from Graduate to QS level) to join our team for two Access for All (AFA) projects in Essex.

We are a leading civil engineering organisation delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK.

These projects, each valued at £7 million, involve constructing lifts and footbridges to improve access to the tracks in Southend and Chalkwell stations.

The roles will be based on-site 3 days/week with occasional travel to London.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

We are recruiting for various levels within our Quantity Surveying team, each playing a crucial role in our projects:

  • Manage the commercial aspects of projects, including financial performance, cost management, procurement, and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to support project delivery, ensuring contractual compliance and meeting business objectives.
  • If joining as a Quantity Surveyor (QS), you will handle your own project and work closely with the site’s commercial team for efficiencies.
  • If joining as a Graduate or Assistant Quantity Surveyor (AQS), you will assist in the commercial management of a project.
