Commercial Pricing Manager - Facilities Management

We are working with an independent Facilities Management Consultancy to recruit a Commercial Pricing/Estimating Manager to join the Bid team and work remotely covering numerous business sectors in the FM space.

Please note we are accepting applications from all locations in England as the role is remote based.

The role is to be responsible for driving commercial delivery and winning profitable work, ensuring compliance with company and commercial policies and standards, and for developing an effective commercial capability and team.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Delivery and development:

1. Lead commercial and estimating best practices and continually improve the company approach.
2. Ensure all commercial risks and opportunities are understood and evaluated, including market-wide issues.
3. Drive competitor analysis and benchmarking activity to ensure the business is competitive.
4. Manage the database of tenders for historical data and average rates.
5. Lead commercial pricing activity on bids/projects to review documents to ensure pricing and commercial position is established and risk mitigation solutions are clearly developed, including: understanding tender requirements and developing commercial/pricing strategy, implementing strategy, conducting cost analysis, model development, stress testing solutions and pricing, and handover from tender submission to mobilisation and operational delivery.
6. Manage internal governance processes and stakeholders.

Candidate requirements:

1. Experience of pricing or estimating schemes within the Facilities Management sector.
2. Recognised commercial-based higher education or accountancy qualification (including part qualified).
3. Commercial acumen and strong cost modelling skills.
4. People management and development.
5. Ability to work openly and collaboratively at all levels.
6. Attention to detail.
