Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a senior leader to establish and grow its Commercial Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC) practice. You will define team direction, set standards, and guide services for commercial customers, helping clients assess risks of quantum cryptography and adopt best practices.

The role requires experience with PQC, cryptography, and executive-facing communication, with the ability to travel up to 50% and lead large-scale infrastructure transitions to quantum-resistant

Qualifications

• 8+ years leading technical teams across PQC, classical cryptography, or secure communications.
• 5+ years of experience with infrastructure component management or design with hardware or software, including interoperability of cryptographic protocols.
• Experience presenting recommendations and roadmaps to executive stakeholders.
• Experience developing and testing interoperability of quantum resistant algorithms.
• Experience leading teams in the implementation of large-scale software or hardware deployments.

Responsibilities

• Establish and grow our Commercial PQC practice.
• Define the PQC teams direction, standards, and requirements for services and solutions sold to our Commercial customers.
• Enable businesses to understand risks and the overall security posture of their existing and new quantum cryptography constructs.
• Educate and influence client executive and engineering teams on PQC best practices.
• Work with leaders across products, IT, networking, infrastructure to ensure PQC best practices are incorporated.
• Lead, hire, and inspire teams of PQC experts to perform security reviews and migrations to quantum-resistant tools.
• Lead the delivery of assessments of cryptographic environments and provide remediation plans.

Salary: £50,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience leading technical teams across PQC, classical cryptography, or secure communications
• 5+ years of experience with infrastructure component management or design with hardware or software, including interoperability of cryptographic protocols
• Experience presenting recommendations and roadmaps to executive stakeholders
• Experience developing and testing interoperability of quantum resistant algorithms
• Experience leading teams in the implementation of large-scale software or hardware deployments
• Knowledge of quantum-safe technologies, timelines, and standards, including NIST publications
• Knowledge of EU cyber regulations and PQC recommendations
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

• Lead, hire, and inspire teams of PQC experts to perform security reviews, develop cryptographic inventories, develop and implement PQC pilots, and migrate tools and technology to be quantum resistant
• Lead the delivery of assessments of cryptographic environments, and provide recommendation and remediation plans along with development, implementation, and support of operational models supporting solutions and services meeting client requirements
