Title: Commercial Planning Manager

Location: Central London (3 office days)

Salary: £65k + bonus

An industry-leading global beverage company is seeking a Commercial Planning Manager to lead and enhance commercial planning across international markets. This role is integral to shaping strategic initiatives, optimizing promotional investments, and delivering robust business planning across multiple regions and channels.

Working closely with cross-functional teams—Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance—you will drive business performance through integrated planning, data-driven insights, and disciplined commercial execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Strategy & Execution

  • Lead the development of integrated commercial plans across key international markets and channels.
  • Ensure planning aligns with global brand objectives, customer strategies, and market-specific goals.
  • Manage the annual business planning cycle including revenue forecasting, volume targets, and channel investment strategies.

Sales Forecasting & Performance Management

  • Deliver accurate, regionally-aligned sales forecasts in collaboration with demand planning and market leads.
  • Identify performance gaps and work cross-functionally to implement mitigation strategies.
  • Support strategic pricing decisions with market and margin analysis.

Promotion Planning & ROI Analysis

  • Drive the planning, execution, and post-analysis of promotional programs.
  • Provide visibility and control over trade investment to maximise return and alignment with brand strategies.
  • Track promotional effectiveness and continuously refine planning tools and processes.

Commercial Reporting & Insights

  • Lead the development and distribution of performance dashboards and planning tools.
  • Translate commercial and market data into actionable insights for internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and efficiency through data-driven recommendations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a key liaison between local sales markets and global support functions.
  • Lead commercial planning forums and ensure alignment across departments.
  • Champion continuous improvement in commercial processes, tools, and systems.

Key Experience & Skills Required:

  • Experience in commercial planning, revenue growth management, or sales operations, ideally within global FMCG or beverage industries.
  • Strong understanding of international go-to-market strategies, trade dynamics, and category planning.
  • High proficiency in Excel; experience with planning and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, SAP, TM1, or similar).
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to connect financial performance with market execution.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across global time zones and cultures.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects with a high level of attention to detail.
