We are looking to fill Commercial Heating Pipe Fitter roles within the Commercial Gas Team, in Property Services.
As a proactive Commercial Pipe Fitter, you will be expected to travel throughout the Kirklees District, and surrounding areas to deliver the duties of this role and meet the needs of the business and its customers. You will visit premises and properties to carry out installation and maintenance tasks predominantly within schools and public buildings in line with contractual requirements. You will have excellent communication and customer care skills to effectively liaise with a variety of customers and clients both internally and externally.
You will be required to work from a handheld mobile device and complete relevant records to ensure the department has up to date and accurate information.
You will be expected to work flexibly, around core hours, based on an annual hours allowance with the needs of the business being the priority. You may also be required to work overtime and be a participant on the call out rota as requested by management.
To meet educational requirements you should be an apprentice trained, hold an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in a Mechanical discipline and holdACS – COCN1, ICPN, TPCP1&1A, CIGA1.
A recognised welding qualification would be advantageous.
