Job summary

RGB Network seeks a skilled Commercial Pipefitter to service communal and district heat networks across the City of London and Home Counties. This full-time role carries a salary of £49,000 to £53,000 per year and a 37.5-hour week.

You will work on heating and water systems for commercial and industrial clients, handling installation, maintenance and fault resolution, with ongoing training and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in commercial/industrial pipefitting and mechanical installation of plant rooms.
• Strong knowledge of commercial heating and water systems.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating, Mechanical Engineering, or similar.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and plan installation routes.
• Experience working to deadlines and collaborating with site teams and external contractors.
• Full UK Driving Licence (clean or with minimal points).

Responsibilities

• Install commercial pipework systems including heating, chilled water, domestic hot/cold water, and gas.
• Plan and route pipework on-site in line with drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to deliver installations on time and to specification.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
• Keep accurate daily work records and report any site variations or issues.

About The Role

This full-time Commercial Pipefitter role with RGB Network serves communal and district heat networks throughout the City Of London and Home Counties. The position carries a salary of £49,000 to £53,000 annually, alongside benefits including a company van, fuel card, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, and private health cover following probation. Working 37.5 hours weekly with flexible start times between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday, the successful candidate handles mechanical services for commercial and industrial clients. Essential skills cover pipefitting, heating systems, maintenance and fault resolution. Ongoing training and upskilling support career progression while working on prestigious projects across the capital and surrounding regions.

Due to continued expansion, we are looking to recruit a skilled Commercial Pipefitter to join our professional and experienced team.

Key Responsibilities

• Install commercial pipework systems including heating, chilled water, domestic hot/cold water, and gas, majority of the works is installing & replacing heat metering commercial plant rooms within HNTAS regulations.
• Plan and route pipework on-site in line with drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to deliver installations on time and to specification.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
• Keep accurate daily work records and report any site variations or issues that may impact progress to supervisors or the office team.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in commercial/industrial pipefitting and mechanical installation of plant rooms.
• Strong knowledge of commercial heating and water systems.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating, Mechanical Engineering, or similar.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and plan installation routes accordingly.
• Experience working to deadlines and collaborating with site teams and external contractors.
• Full UK Driving Licence (clean or with minimal points).
• Capable of working independently and managing responsibilities on-site.
• Good problem-solving skills and a proactive, safety-conscious approach.
