Boralex has been providing renewable and affordable energy for over 30 years. The Group, composed of more than 800 employees, operates renewable assets with an installed capacity of over 3 GW and is developing a project portfolio of 6.8 GW in wind, solar, and energy storage.

Role

You will play an important role in:

  1. Supporting the Europe energy market director in defining the power (electricity, REGOs, ancillary services) sale strategy for our UK pipeline and identifying value opportunities across the business, contributing to its execution in collaboration with UK management, development, and finance teams;
  2. Originate and structure innovative, adaptive route-to-market solutions for each technology (wind, solar, BESS); lead the origination of cPPA business in the UK; secure the energy offtake of our pipeline;
  3. Coordinate Boralex's application to regulatory tenders for subsidies (e.g., CfD) alongside the development and financial analysis teams;
  4. Conduct commercial negotiations and close profitable PPA contracts;
  5. Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with major electricity buyers such as industrial companies and utilities;
  6. Manage existing commercial relations and ensure customer satisfaction;
  7. Monitor market developments to identify consumer needs, changes in offering structures, and regulatory changes;
  8. Set up and manage sales reporting with key KPIs monitored by management and customers.
To Succeed In This Position, You Need
  1. You are a graduate of a business or engineering school, with specialization in energy or finance; possess strong, credible experience in the energy and/or renewable energy markets, preferably in commercial roles, with a strong network across UK industrial energy consumers and utilities. You have developed solid experience in business development and customer relationship management, with a good understanding of energy market, economic, and regulatory issues.
  2. You are a business-oriented individual, capable of working in a complex international environment, synthesizing data from multiple sources. You are a good communicator, comfortable with complex negotiations; proactive, creative, and open-minded.
  3. This role suits someone who appreciates autonomy and can balance long-term vision with near-term objectives.
