Our client is seeking a resilient, proactive, and adaptable Commercial Officer professional to join their dynamic team in a role that supports end-to-end sourcing activities in a fast-paced and evolving public sector environment. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong commercial mindset and solid experience in public sector procurement to contribute to impactful work, develop professionally, and make a tangible difference.

The Role:

Supporting end-to-end sourcing across various categories using Client frameworks (including direct awards and call-offs)
Managing multiple procurement activities while ensuring compliance with public sector regulations
Collaborating with stakeholders at all levels, adapting communication to suit different audiences
Analysing data to identify trends, generate insights, and support informed decision-making
Navigating changing priorities with a calm, solutions-focused attitude

Essential Skills & Experience:

Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in public sector procurement
Solid understanding of commercial principles and public procurement regulations
Experience supporting tenders through Client Frameworks
Confident in stakeholder management and communicating with clarity
Strong working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
Completed, or willing to complete, the Transforming Public Procurement (TPP) e-learning
Exposure to the Procurement Act 2023 (training support will be provided if needed)
Proven ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines

Qualifications:

CIPS Level 4 (or equivalent)
OR
Minimum of 2-3 years’ commercial experience within procurement

Confident, adaptable, and resilient under pressure
Curious and eager to learn, especially in evolving procurement practices
Strong analytical mindset with a focus on actionable insights
Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team


Previous exposure to the Procurement Act 2023
Evidence of delivering meaningful procurement outcomes
Experience in supporting complex sourcing activities with measurable impact
Government Sector experience - desirable
