Commercial Mortgage Administrator

My client in the specialist lending sector is seeking a Commercial Mortgage Administrator to join their London team on a permanent basis. A starting salary of up to £33,000 is on offer with a potential first-year OTE up to £42,000. They are looking for someone with 3-5 years' experience within a similar role who has mainly worked on main residence and BTL cases. Experience with commercial lenders would also be a bonus. The role will be hybrid, 4 days in the office and 1 day from home.

The kinds of mortgages this team covers are: BTL, semi-commercial and commercial property, bridging, refurbishment loans, development loans, foreign national mortgages.

Responsibilities:
  1. Accurately input mortgage applications into various lender systems.
  2. Provide thorough administrative support to brokers.
  3. Oversee the client service journey from start to finish, coordinating with clients, lenders, and solicitors.
  4. Record all interactions and activities in our CRM system.
  5. Collect and upload necessary client documents within set compliance timelines.
  6. Scan and ensure all documentation complies with company standards.
  7. Maintain compliance with FCA regulations in all tasks.
  8. Assist the team with other duties as needed.
Ideal Candidate Attributes:
  1. Proven experience in mortgage administration within the independent market, familiar with various lenders' products and online platforms.
  2. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, adept at engaging with a diverse clientele.
  3. Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with mortgage terminology.
  4. Ability to take initiative, manage time effectively, and prioritise tasks efficiently.
  5. Motivation to advance in a professional and growing business environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
  1. Competitive base salary up to £33,000, depending on experience.
  2. Pension scheme.
  3. Quarterly performance-based bonus scheme, adding 10%-20% to your annual salary.
  4. Annual Christmas bonus of £2,000.
  5. Potential first-year OTE up to £42,000.
