Job Description:

Our client is a leading Data Centre owner and operator. As part of the group's expansion in the UK, they require a Commercial Modelling Analyst in London.

Key Responsibilities
  1. The Commercial Modelling Analyst is a key role working with and supporting the Senior Commercial Analyst and Commercial Manager responsible for leading all commercial data analytics and modelling functions.
  2. Support the approval of customer transactions, including assisting Sales in deal structuring and setting pricing, preparing business case and deal underwrite documents, including feasibility modelling and returns/valuation impact analysis.
  3. Collate, investigate, manage, and analyze data related to the commercial performance of the business, produce periodic Business Intelligence reports, and complete ad-hoc analysis projects to support various business strategies and initiatives.
  4. Undertake and support a wide range of workstreams driven by the dynamic nature of the business.
  5. Develop a comprehensive understanding of current Business Intelligence processes.
  6. Take ownership of and manage the day-to-day processes underpinning Business Intelligence production.
  7. Use cash flow models to support various commercial functions aimed at decision-making for customer deal-specific and strategic Group purposes.
  8. Liaise with teams and stakeholders across the business to gather data supporting ad-hoc analytics projects.
  9. Support the group-wide Digital Transformation initiative.
Background & Experience
  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in mathematics, science, or economics, with strong numeric skills.
  2. Keen interest in pursuing a career as an Analyst in financial modelling and data analytics.
  3. Open to recent graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience.
  4. Ideally, some experience or interest in the Real Estate sector, including the Data Centre market.
  5. Excellent analytical skills with advanced modelling capabilities, including building and manipulating cash flows.
  6. Advanced Excel skills, preferably with VBA experience.
  7. Experience analyzing, managing, and interpreting large data sets.
  8. Ability to interpret portfolio data, evaluate new customers, and assess new acquisitions/sites through financial modelling, scenario analysis, and ad-hoc projects.
  9. Strong problem-solving skills for complex data and process challenges.
  10. High attention to detail.
  11. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  12. Proficiency in MS Office, including preparing presentations.
  13. Ambitious, driven, resilient, and capable of working under pressure and at pace.
  14. Office-based role; 5 days per week.
  15. Full rights to live and work in the UK.
