Job Summary

Our client is a leading Data Centre owner and operator. As part of the group's expansion in the UK, they require a Commercial Modelling Analyst in London.

Key Responsibilities

• The Commercial Modelling Analyst is a key role working with and supporting the Senior Commercial Analyst and Commercial Manager responsible for leading all Commercial data analytics and modelling functions.
• Support the approval of customer transactions, including assisting Sales in deal structuring and setting pricing, preparing business case and deal underwrite documents, including feasibility modelling and returns/valuation impact analysis.
• Collate, investigate, manage, and analyze data related to the business's commercial performance, produce periodic Business Intelligence reports, and complete ad-hoc analysis projects to support various business strategies.
• Undertake and support a wide range of workstreams driven by the dynamic nature of the business.
• Develop a thorough understanding of Business Intelligence processes.
• Take ownership of and run daily processes underpinning Business Intelligence production.
• Use cashflow models to support decision-making for customer deal-specific and strategic Group purposes.
• Liaise with teams and stakeholders to collate data for analytics projects.
• Support the group-wide Digital Transformation initiative.

Background & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, with strong numeric skills; backgrounds in mathematics, science, or economics preferred.
• Keen interest in pursuing a career in financial modelling and data analytics.
• Open to recent graduates or those with up to 1 year of experience.
• Experience or interest in the Real Estate sector, including Data Centre market, is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills with advanced modelling capabilities, including building and manipulating cash flows.
• Advanced Excel skills, preferably with VBA experience.
• Experience analyzing and managing large data sets.
• Ability to interpret portfolio data, evaluate new customers, and assess acquisitions/sites through financial modelling and scenario analysis.
• Strong problem-solving skills for complex data and process challenges.
• High attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including preparing presentations.
• Ambitious, resilient, able to work under pressure and at pace.
• Office-based role, 5 days a week.
• Full rights to live and work in the UK.
