Job Description:

Commercial Mechanical Engineer required for our client who is a successful M&E Contractor based in South West London. They provide Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to over 120 properties across London and Home counties. These properties include a range of residential apartment blocks with communal HVAC plant, commercial office space, mixed development buildings, schools, colleges, and nursing homes. They are now looking for a Commercial Mechanical Engineer to work across London and the Home counties.

Due to expansion, my client is now seeking a qualified and experienced Commercial Mechanical Engineer. The role will cover routine servicing works on our contract sites, remedial works, and repairs including installation. This is a mobile position which will require daily travel within London and the Home Counties (vehicle to be provided).

Position Overview

Responsible for the installation, PPMs, servicing, and repair of commercial plant including but not limited to pumps, valves, commercial heating components, cylinders, and mechanical equipment on a range of Commercial sites. Additionally, you may be required to test and commission a variety of heating systems.

Position Requirements

• Must have previous experience of commercial plant rooms (large commercial pump/valves/system components often found in communal plantrooms).
• Ability to understand pipework schematic drawings and follow them to install as per drawings when available.
• Familiarity with and ability to complete PPM & Install across a variety of commercial plant.
• Full UK driving license is required.
• Proven experience in a similar mobile mechanical engineering role.

Position Remuneration

• Salary £45,000 upwards all depending on experience.
• £150/week standby rate when on call.
• Minimum 3 hr. callout cost to out of hours calls.
• Paid travel over 45 mins each way.
• Annual entitlement of 20 days' annual leave plus bank holidays on joining (allocation increases to 25 days after completion of 1 year of service).
