Technical Sales and Marketing Support Manager (part time) £Competitive + Benefits + Bonus + Car Allowance

Salary: £Competitive + Benefits + Bonus (2 days a week + prorated benefits)
Working hours: The role is very flexible; it could be two whole days or spread throughout the week as long as the hours are covered.
With a view to full-time permanent after 1 year. (70k)
As Technical Sales and Marketing Support Manager (demand creator), you will support the generation of promotional material and assist the Commercial Manager, acting as the main bridge between the company and clients, highlighting the company’s leading R&D position in the market and enabling the company to enter the UK market with new products in crop protection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and provide technical-sales support and demand creation material for targeted farmers, dealers, advisors, and critical stakeholders in the UK.
- Identify gaps in current technical backup materials and propose solutions to relevant business influencers to increase product use in the UK and IE markets.
- In collaboration with sales and marketing teams, provide technical supporting information for UK and IE products and create materials to deliver growth for new product launches such as fungicides.
- Evaluate market and industry trends, competitors, sales programs, and territory coverage; identify areas for strategic and opportunistic growth, emerging challenges, and propose actionable ideas.
- Feedback to the company field data and insights leading to new products and improvements to existing products.
- Support the Commercial Manager to deliver sales priorities in the territory.
- Provide technical support for key projects and products (online and in the field) on crops, with a working knowledge of other row and specialty crops as an asset.
- Identify influential external stakeholders (advisers, key growers, seed companies) and establish positive relationships.
- Carry out demand creation support activities (farmer and retailer meetings, on-farm support, technical support, pre-launch and launch trial management, etc.) in collaboration with other stakeholders (Operational Marketing).
- Support operational marketing in executing planned activities in the region.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Bachelor's or higher degree in agriculture or a related field such as Soil Biology, Mycology, Microbiology, Plant Pathology, Agronomy, or Horticulture.
- Commercial technical experience in sales/marketing BD connected with Crop Protection, or possibly a very industrially collaborative PhD with practical field trials experience.
- Knowledge of fungicides or cereals is beneficial.
- Knowledge of the Crop Protection industry and a good understanding of plant physiology, crop production, crop protection, plant nutrition, and soil health.
- Knowledge of Biorationals, Biostimulants, and Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs) is beneficial.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to understand technical information.
- Ability to travel occasionally as required (to some trial sites very occasionally) with the role mostly home-based remote.
