Key Purpose of the Role

The Commercial & Marketing Executive will play a crucial role in supporting Serconnect’s growth by managing marketing activities, coordinating events, and assisting with business development efforts. This role will oversee the company’s digital presence, event planning, brand strategy, and commercial engagement, ensuring consistency and professionalism across all marketing and client-facing activities.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Marketing & Agency Coordination

• Act as the day to day liaison for the digital marketing agency.
• Attend weekly WIP (Work in Progress) meetings with the agency.
• Review and approve marketing materials, including blogs and press releases.
• Oversee website updates, content management, and maintenance.
• Coordinate the Quarterly Business Review with the digital agency.

Social Media & Brand Management

• With guidance from wider team, develop and implement social media strategies that align with business goals.
• Assist with creating engaging content using video and photography assets.
• Monitor competitors' digital presence and enhance Serconnect’s reach.
• Ensure all content reflects the company’s high-quality brand image.

Design & Content Creation

• Assist with creating visually appealing content for social media and marketing materials.
• Use tools such as Adobe Express or Canva for internal design needs.

Exhibitions & Industry Events

• Research and identify key exhibitions and events for brand exposure.
• Coordinate logistics, including event planning, stand builds, merchandise, and travel.
• Organise and oversee lead capture and post-event follow-up.

Charity & Corporate Events

• Help plan and coordinate the annual charity golf day and other corporate events.
• Handle invitations, signage, merchandise, and event logistics.
• Engage with partner charities to ensure visibility and participation.
• Capture and share event highlights via social media and company blog.

Awards & Industry Recognition

• Identify and assist with submissions for industry awards.
• Coordinate travel, table bookings, and accommodations for award ceremonies.

Commercial Visual Content Coordination

• Schedule and manage video and photography sessions with JG Visuals.
• Ensure visual content supports marketing and commercial needs.
• Maintain SLA adherence and shoot scheduling.

Administrative & Commercial Support

• Maintain organised marketing and commercial folders and documentation.
• Support Directors (Kevin & Colin) with diary management, emails, meeting bookings, and client liaison.
• Ensure deadlines for client quotes and proposals are met.
• Manage bookings for exhibitions and business events.

CRM & Business Development Support

Update and maintain the CRM (Capsule) with accurate business data.

Assign and track tasks to ensure commercial objectives are met.

Commercial & Marketing Executive package

Salary:£30-£36,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
