Job Description:

The role of a Commercial Manager involves end-to-end service delivery for large and complex infrastructure projects, serving both private and public sector clients. The focus is on delivering a value-added commercial management service that meets client objectives.

You will be responsible for managing commercial aspects throughout the project lifecycle, from inception to completion, including liaising with clients and contractors, and ensuring detailed attention to project specifics while enabling strategic business decisions.

The role requires flexibility to adapt to various client requirements, including remote work and travel within the UK and abroad, sometimes frequently.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing budgets and baselines, process development, risk analysis, procurement reviews, lifecycle costing, and forecasting.
• Identifying process improvements for cost controls and governance.
• Engaging with project staff and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Supporting close-out reports and presenting findings to clients and supply chains.
• Leading site visits nationally and internationally.
• Mentoring junior staff and stakeholders in cost and commercial management.

Qualifications:

What we’re looking for:

• Knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts.
• Experience in commercial management within collaborative, multi-organization teams.
• Experience with project controls and PMO processes.
• Strong report writing and presentation skills.
• Experience working within client organizations, directly or via secondment.

Required skills and experience include delivering service excellence, experience in T&D sector preferred, excellent communication, ability to work autonomously and adaptively, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and a professional attitude that upholds the company's profile. Ability to support marketing and business development efforts is also valued.
