Commercial Manager Timber Frame

Job Title: Commercial Manager Timber Frame

Location: Commutable to Huddersfield

Remuneration: GBP50,000 neg + 10% bonus

Benefits: Company pension, 4x death in service, 24 days annual leave

Responsibilities
  • Commercial Manager position dealing with a range of timber frame structures
  • Negotiating contracts, performing risk reviews, ensuring financial aspects and impact of the contract are clear to all parties
  • Lead budget development with the Estimating & Sales Team
  • Manage variations and any changes to the commercial scope of projects
  • Responding to delays and any issues that may arise during construction phase
  • Overseeing final accounts and client payments
  • Provide accurate commercial reporting to the senior leadership team
  • Develop and improve commercial processes for timber frame delivery
Qualifications
  • Must experience as a Commercial Manager within the UK construction industry
  • Would potentially consider experience / Senior Quantity Surveyors within the timber frame / housing / developer industries
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Ideally degree level educated in a Commercial Management or Quantity Surveying
  • Sound working knowledge of JCT & NEC contracts
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Strong negotiation, time management, and organisation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
