A newly created role within the commercial function for a Commercial Managerto join the team

You will be responsible for creating and executing the commercial plan for Elior’s retail hospital division , delivering EBITDA growth through like-for-like sales and gross margin improvement activities.

This role will be expected to use a variety of commercial levers to drive like-for-like sales and EBITDA growth such as price optimisation, promotional strategies, range improvement, upselling, and space maximisation to drive category performance and overall sector success.

What you'll be doing...

The Commercial Manager will play a key role in understanding the success of these projects and driving them forward through data driven decision making, ensuring rigorous commercial planning processes and effective relationship management cross functionally with operational teams, finance, purchasing, clients, and supplier partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive commercial plans for the retail hospital division, securing senior sign-off, and ensuring timely execution through cross-functional team engagement

  • Support the Commercial Optimisation Manager to model proposed commercial initiatives on a product-by-product/unit-by-unit basis, forecast outcomes, and employ a test-and-learn approach based on commercial results

  • Analyse the performance of live commercial initiatives in the retail hospitals to suggest and implement changes based off the results.

  • Regularly present performance, recommendations and strategy to senior team and wider functions

  • Take accountability for the successful implementation of approved commercial activities through operational teams.

  • Conduct regular competitor benchmarking analysis to maintain a thorough understanding of the market, including price, range, display, service style, and branding to proactively identify ways to optimise results and stay competitive

  • Spend time in operational units to observe and support implementation, developing strong relationships with senior operations teams

  • Form a strong working relationship with the relevant operations, clients, finance and purchasing teams to ensure stakeholder buy in for key commercial and marketing initiatives identified

  • Working Pattern: Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours a week
