Within this team, the RegTech function is responsible for creating and maintaining the technical architecture that underpins critical processes such as Know Your Customer (KYC), Proof of Address (POA), and Know Your Business (KYB). We are seeking a Commercial Manager - RegTech with deep expertise in regulatory compliance and account management, who will work closely with Product and Tech teams to ensure seamless partner experiences and operational excellence.

Role Description

As a Commercial Manager - RegTech, you will play a strategic role in managing key partner relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on compliance requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize the systems and processes that support partner verification and compliance. This role requires an in-depth understanding of KYC/KYB, a strong background in managing partner relationships, and the ability to deliver structured service reviews and insights that drive continuous improvement.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders (e.g., RegTech, Supplier Fraud Teams) and external vendors to optimize KYC, POA, and KYB solutions, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies with vendors to achieve cost optimizations, expand services, and support Booking.com's long-term objectives.
  • Negotiate, renew, and manage commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with legal, financial, and operational standards; conduct monthly service reviews and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
  • Provide expertise on compliance frameworks (e.g., DSA, DMA, DAC7), offering guidance to stakeholders and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and market trends.
  • Analyze vendor performance and regulatory trends, delivering actionable insights to improve compliance and partner satisfaction.
  • Represent partner needs internally to drive product and process improvements aligned with feedback.
  • Identify and mitigate potential compliance risks to ensure robust and secure systems and processes.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: 8+ years in compliance, account management, or a related field, preferably in the fintech, regtech, or travel sectors. Ideal candidates should have worked in regulated environments.
  • Technical Acumen: Familiarity with the technical architecture and processes involved in KYC, POA, and KYB solutions.
  • Compliance Expertise: Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, particularly in sectors such as financial services, hospitality, or technology.
  • Account Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage complex partner relationships, lead service reviews, and drive alignment with business goals.
  • Data-Driven Approach: Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics and drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven success in working with Product, Tech, and Compliance teams to deliver impactful solutions.
