Wood Digital Consulting (DC) is currently recruiting for a Commercial Manager to support our UK projects within the System Integration business.

This is a hybrid role that can be based anywhere in the UK, mobility and travel to customer sites and face to face meetings with colleagues will be expected as required.

Must be able to pass HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.

The Commercial Manager’s primary role will be to ensure effective commercial co-ordination of relevant project in accordance with all relevant Company commercial policies and procedures. This includes delivery of programs commercial reporting to Business Unit and ensure all commercial proceduresare followed and reviewed. Implementation and delivery of key policies and procedures including theFinancial ManagementFramework andTender GovernanceProcedures. Adherence to all requirements of the client contract T&C’s with specific emphasis on reporting and change management in line with the NEC4 client contract.

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, or Business Studies, along with appropriate professional qualification (preferred)

Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Significant experience (8-12 years) in a similar role with good level (4+ years) of leadership / management experience
  • Experience of NEC contracts, particularly NEC4, desirable.
  • Proven experience in contract administration including change management
  • Awareness of all relevant corporate and project procedures
  • Experience in contract negotiations
  • Experience in claims and dispute resolution (pre and post-litigation experience preferred)
