Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor

Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join our team on a project in Barrow. You will manage the project commercial team, advise on risks and opportunities, and support contract reviews. This is a permanent role for approximately 2 years, with potential for further work.

We are also considering candidates at Senior Quantity Surveyor level. Applicants must be able to obtain security clearance; only British nationals can be considered.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Promote safety in all activities.
  • Ensure accuracy of risk and opportunity schedules and identify measures to improve profitability.
  • Manage mitigation strategies and report outcomes.
  • Lead the commercial team to maximize potential.
  • Build relationships with clients, suppliers, and vendors; negotiate contract terms and final accounts.
  • Participate in contract reviews and ensure cost accuracy.
  • Assist with business planning and management accounts.
  • Monitor commercial performance and manage subcontracts.

Requirements:

  • Experience managing the commercial aspects of construction projects.
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts preferred.
